Despite having nearly 2,000 burglaries in 2011 El Paso, Texas, was ranked as the safest city with a burglary per capita rate of 0.28%. When compared to the most dangerous city, Beaumont, Texas, you are 6 times more likely to get burglarized in Beaumont than in El Paso which means the people of Beaumont need to step up their home security strategy in order to even their odds out.
