73-Year-Old Grandmother Stabs Burglar
Septuagenarian Margaret Jackson made a burglar attempting to break into her home think twice about ever committing burglaries again when she surprised him by opening the door he was trying to break into and stabbing him in the neck with a barbecue fork.
Jackson noticed her pet dog running back and forth from the back door to the living room, and when Jackson looked out her back window she saw a man trying to break into the back door that her dog was running back and forth from.
Texas is famous for a take-things-into-your-own-hands philosophy for dealing with problems and when Jackson saw the man attempting to invade her home and possibly do harm to her, she acted quickly and found a weapon to defend herself against the intruder. With barbecue fork in hand she quickly opened the back door and when the suspect turned around to face her, she stuck him in the neck with the fork.
The man is described as being between 17 and 19-years-old, 5 feet 7 inches to 6 feet tall, and weighs from 150 to 180 pounds. The man, last seen running northbound on N. Wayside, wore a blue polo shirt and blue jeans for the attempted burglary. As of yet the police have not been able to capture him.
